The Cangig.caTM mission is to create a user-friendly online interactive tracking, scheduling, and booking resource dedicated to the members of the live Canadian musical entertainment business, their existing and prospective buyers, and browsers who wish to track them.
Cangig.caTM offers musicians, bands/artists, venues and agents a free searchable profile and a subscription service whereby they can track, query, submit and confirm gig opportunities online. This is the only Canadian specific online music industry service of its kind.
Public browsers can freely search the Venus, Artist and Musician profile and itinerary database. They will also enjoy the opportunity to hire musical entertainment online.

Marketing Strategy
Our primary marketing objectives are to solicit members through targeted online and traditional media marketing, membership incentives and rewards programs. Our intention is to provide our members and browsers with a serious and professional environment free of distracting advertising within their membership pages. Upon completion of a limited time 3-month free subscription offer, members would be charged a subscription premium to maintain their scheduling and gig alert service. Profiles and Build-a-BandTM services would remain free of charge until they opted to remove them.
No pop-ups, streaming audio or video, or online advertising we feel is obtrusive to the user experience will be considered at this time though we are considering pop-under ads.
Endorsements
Musical equipment advertisers will be offered an opt-in listing in the member endorsement pages.
This means we will create a database of advertiser logo buttons and each musician must endorse a minimum of two equipment advertisers and two regional sponsors upon registration. These linked logo buttons will then appear on their personal profile page whenever it is accessed.
Conclusion
The Music industry is starting to identify the importance of the Internet as more than just a music distribution service. Cangig.caTM, it's Sponsors, Advertisers and services are in a very good position to ride this wave of change within the industry and has also identified an opportunity to carve a niche product to help musicians, bands and venues to organize, communicate and connect via a unique Internet portal.
